1290 and Cultivator

I was looking forward to giving the 1290 a try at pulling the Cultivator. It works great and better than I thought it would. In fact because it is so easy to get on and off and turns tight on the ends it might be my new favorite for this job. I dont cultivate a lot of acres anymore but every year there always seem to be a few places to clean up some weeds.

Rod: 8 row looks like a lot of cultivator for the 1290. How is she on the turns?

Rod I cultivated a lot of acres with a 1490 and a KMC rolling cultivator. It was a 8 row 36 with a hydraulic tail wheel. I didnt need the wheel for lift assist but it made it nice to adjust the level from the seat. Tony

John the tractor handles this danish tine cultivator quite well. On turns I have to use the brakes to turn as it could use some extra weight in front. But overall I am surprised at how well it works, I like it. Rod.
