13.9 - 36 tire

I started looking for a set of 13.9 - 36 back tires and quickly discovered are like a unicorn. Any that I did find were priced in the vicinity of 1k each. Is this reality or is there something I'm missing? I can't believe there so few manufactures that offer this size. HELP!

Looks like NTS Tire has several choices, two for less than
$500 each. They are 13.6-36 tho. I have heard of 13.9 but I
think it's an old size that's been replaced by 13.6.

No such thing as a 13.9 x 36. The 13.6 x 36 wasn't a common size, only used on a couple of tractor models 60 years ago.

BUT, if you google, there are several listings for 13.6x36 tires at much less than $1000 per tire. $1120 for two tires, WITH tubes, shipped to your door. That's not bad for an odd size tire.

my 504 has 13.9x36 tires. (tractor on the right. I don't use the 504 much.) They were on it when I bought it.

My 340 had poor 13.6x36 tires on it when I bought it. I found an almost new set of 13.6x36 tires on good power adjust rims on CL from a junked Case
630. Anyone need the rims? Jon?

I purchased one for my Case 630 from Old Dominion Tire in Richmond VA for about $450 to $500 a few years ago. Talked to their guy at Field Days of the Past and he said he
would give me a price. The only problem is each year now they make these things heavier and heavier, use to be easy to move them around.

I have them on my 520 and 530 john deere, and also on my farmall 340. As I understand they were the same
profile as the 15-5s. The 13-6s are the same profile as the 14s and the 16.9s. so I've been told by the old
tire guys. they were a shorter diameter then the 13-6s but a hair wider tread allowing less torque, so a
little more pull. so they could sell these smaller tractors as three plow instead of two plow. just my two
cents. john

Huh, must be an old obsolete size. I've never heard of it. Usually when folks say 13.9 they're getting their 13.6 and 14.9's crossed up.
