Can some one tell me which repair manual has the power steering breakdown for the UK model. We have manual # 27 and it doesn't cover the UK power steering. We have tried a different valve on the steering column with no results. The cylinders seem to be fine. What should the pressure be coming out of the pump. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Hello Brian,
The pump pressures should be as follows;
Oil at 70 degrees C +or - 10 degrees C
500erpm 1000 psi min
2000 erpm 1400 psi max.

Assume that you have no PAS activation. Is the bearing at the top of the column adjusted correctly? Is there wear in the ends of the adjustable barrel, the sliding tube pin or spool yoke? For the system to work correctly there must be no wear at these points. Spool movement in either direction should be 0.100". Turn the steering wheel back and forth and check that you have this movement. Without the full amount you will not get full activation. Have you checked the filter in the pump? Don't assume that because it appears to be clean, that it is so.
The correct oil is Automatic Transmission Fluid.
