What is the trick getting the back 2 nuts off and back on? Kill lever seems to be in way. Of course there is plenty dirt back there, blowed lots out and washed some out with gas
A 9/16 swivel socket will be your best friend, and a couple 3/8 drive extensions, Power swivels are a little nicer to work with. you will get it. If you have not, it is good practice to align all the timing marks before removal of pump. There were issues with the front damper rubber failing and the timing mark ring slipping so I would align the marks in the 1 1/4" inch plug right at the pump before removing.

After getting bottom hose off that was next thing I done.If had turned engine backwards it would have been quicker. All that for core hole plug.
