I went to look at a Baler where to ad said old Case . After inspecting it I was very surprised at how original and clean it was. The seller explained his father purchased it new and has never left their farm. Furthermore it rarely sat outside overnight as his dad insisted it be returned to the shed. I liked the fact that all decals were still there and in pretty darn good condition. The owner said it had worked well but has not been used for about 10 years now. I do plan on using it for a couple hundred bales yearly so I hope it still operates properly. These models appear to be almost overbuilt when compared to the later swing arm fed Case balers. I am looking forward to making a few bales with it this year . Rod.

To look at that baler it should serve you well. No doubt about it being shed kept. Well cared for. RB

Do you need help stacking the rack. I can help the last week of. Would be fun the first load if the bales are dry straw.

keep us posted on how it works. THe only one I ever worked behind missed 1 tie in 10--or so it seemed.

Rod,
Looks like you found a real gem there! Wow, that baler looks like it was really taken care of. Good luck with it. Kow Farmer Kurt

That part no does not show up in the 140 parts list, however Case did like to change part no along the way. I had no luck finding that no in any material I have but for the heck of it I will call the dealer and see if they have any info in their system.

Rod, I hope it works out, I'd rather see NOS parts used rather than thrown away, they are yours for the asking.
Mike

Well Case can not provide us with any information on the part . I guess the only way we would know for sure is to try it. If you want mail the part to me and I will be glad to pay postage and will keep my fingers crossed that they work for this machine, Rod.

Rod could you email me as I may have a new oem belt that will fit your baler it's part number O2868N.If it works you can have it.thanks Bill

I can do that, I also plan on going to the national plowing matches near Sauk Center in Aug. and I could drop them off if you are any where near my travel path.
Mike

That sounds like a great idea, I plan to go to the plowing contest also. I actually qualified to compete and if my health is OK I will. Hope to see you then, Rod.
