140 PTO

I put new sleeves and pistons in my 140 and it runs great now but I am wondering does it have an independent pto or is it like the older Fords and the clutch has to be engaged for the pto to run

Second option, not a live PTO. See the diagram in the link. Only one shaft between the clutch and transmission, so when you push the clutch everything behind it stops turning.

No live PTO , just like my B Farmall,The only handicap it has!!

Sounds like I will need an overrunning coupler
