Hello my cousin called me to ask about a 1450 dozer ( I have case tractors ) so he thought I would know about these , I don't, I was hopeing someone here could give me a little info on them it has a 6 way blade a little less then 5000 hrs I don't know if its a B model , and I don't know much about the under carrage , I haven't seen it yet . Thanks Bryan

Bryan, The 1450 dozers are good units but I would have someone who is very familiar look it over and run it to check the engine for starting and blowby, transmission pressures under hot oil conditions in all the clutch positions, also the undercarriage condition is vital, rollers and idlers and track chains will cost many thousands of dollars to replace and only people who have years of experience know how to determine how much life is left in what's on there. You could also post this question on the crawler forum on this site, it is into more construction - oriented market, WE have people on here familiar with those units but basically this is an AG oriented group. Considering buying a used crawler is no small decision to make considering the cost of bringing a worn unit back to usability. Good luck.

1450's have the option to "Counter Rotate" the tracks, meaning one track fwd and one in rev and she spins like a skid steer, you have two speed powershift along with "N" in each track control lever, the have the Case 504BDT set @ 150hp for power, Great Nimble Fast pushing and reacting machines,, like mEl said condition is paramont , yes parts are available most wear parts available in aftermarket these days as Case may or may not have some items yet,, these also can do full power turns when needed as you have a Hi/LO in each track in powerrshift hope that helps some
