Looking for a corn head for a 1460 would like a 4 row would a 1460 be to wide for a 4 for narrow thanks for any suggestions

The 1460 was designed for a 6 row narrow with the tires fitting between rows 1 and 2, and rows 5 and 6. With the 4 row you will only clear the standing rows by 4 inches or less. Unless you put narrower tires and rims.

Why not go for a 6 row head? The 1460 will handle a 6 row fine and there are more of them available to buy.

I bought the combine from a dealer with agrain head and he said he could get me a 4 row head for 3000 I paid him and he has yet to come up with a head now I'm not sure a 4 row will fit I called the dealer and he told me it would 6000 for a 6 row can't realy afford another 3000 right now and they are not realy being any help il check the tire size today thank you

I run 24.5-32 tires on a 1666 with a 1043 corn head. Works good, just on hills and contours start at the bottom and work up the hill. Four rows on that combine you should really cruise!
