not a dumb question at all, back in the day of the 1470's the were some what hard to get we had 5-6 signed order's all the time so we could get them in, and when the BK program several dealers we knew in Montanna already had several 1470's on the lot and complained they didn't want wait till a black one came in to do demo's so they were allowed to decal them as a Black Knight and sell/demo them under the same program, not sure how many know this but BK tractors were to be "demoed" at least 200hrs ( not all dealers follwed these rules) before they were to be sold and Case allowed a discount to be deducted also, hope this makes sense and this tractor was one of those tractors, which are even rarer than a BK one, now don't get me wrong I would love a black one for sure but this is what I found, this tractor was sold new out of Livingston MT

Hey there Case Nutty 1660,
I have a question about the 1470's. Were these tractors "bareback" or did they have 3 pt and PTO's also? I love this unique 70 series 4WD tractor. There just is something about the 1470 that sets it apart from any other tractor in its hp class. I have never been in one or drove one, but would love the oppurtunity to do so someday.
As always, love all the pics you post! Keep them comin'. Take care.

Kow Farmer, you could get them with 3pt,pto, cab 4 wheel steer, A/C htr were among some of the options available, they are a fun tractor to drive very snappy and responcive I love the foot throttle, back when these came out I only remember one demo that did not sell one ,cnt

I had never seen a 1470 (well ok in pictures) till i bought this one. Now I have noticed a couple at shows, but not many. I like mine too!

The one that was on the Duke sale in Watertown was my BIL's years ago. Logged lots of hours in it. They changed a head on it and did not reset the valves. It lasted about 2 hours and there was not much left of the engine. Started with valves hitting the pistons, and ended with the bearings. Had the 28.1 X 26 booties.

Thanks Tom, That "BEAST" looks like a whole alot of fun to run...........end of the day you knew you did something! It wouldn't be as much fun on them 20 acre fields!!! I think I woulda been a real "fence-wrecker" with me in the seat!!Heck back-en-dayI could snag the fence w/trailer wheel (4-14 semi-mount) with the 700 on the ends!!! Dad could tell cause the sheep found them spots I got the fence!! sheep like "3 inch corn" hee hee.
