148 Loader Control Valve

1938G

New User
Hoping someone can help me. Have a 148 loader with a Gersen 2712 control valve mounted on a 1967 4020. After calling several parts houses and dealers, I know the control valve is obsolete with an almost impossibility of getting the specific part I need. Have talked to several Deere dealers in our area and each one says they cant get anything for that model loader. So where can I find an aftermarket replacement control valve with two spools, closed center and is compatible with the 148 loader and my 4020? I would prefer to stick with the two-lever control simply because I like it, but have no qualms about switching to a joystick model.
Thanks!

Summit Hydraulics, Bailey's, and Surplus Center are some places that will have two lever, two spool, loader valves (with a float detent on the lift spool) good for flow in the 20-25 GPM range and can be adapted to closed center. You may have to make some fitting and hose changes as the new valve may be a bit different than your current one.

Ditto except if one desires infinite control of boom or bucket circuits I've read one needs a 10-15 GPM control valve so control of valve can be infinitely controlled more easily. Photo below shows very important inner seal that is needed on closed center conversion plug.
