1486 gauges randomly die

on my 1486 i was messin around with the a/c. got it recharged and now its workin fine.

problem is now the gauges on the right side dont want to work. they will work right when ive started up but then a few seconds later they will act like i turned the key off. i can then turn the key off and back on and they will work again for a few seconds.

the digital data center is still working, air is still working, and radio is still working, just that right side of the dash not working correctly.
i changed all the fuses and that didnt change anything, other ideas?

Those dash gauges have a printed circuit and the connections lose contact at any of several spots on
the board.

I would want to know if the power supply coming into the dash unit is constant when gauges go dead
and also the ground wire at same connector. A test light in power and volt meter in groiud on cluster board connector would show that. If light goes out
when gauges quit you have a input power problem. A volt meter in the ground circuit will show
voltage if faulty ground when gauges quit.

If power and ground check out you know problem is right in the gauge board assembly.
