1520 knock ?

This afternoon I was using my 1520 diesel to put out some round bales since the 3020 I usually use for that job developed a leak at the hydraulic pump.{That's another story and problem.} I got off to open a gate and noticed the engine change sounds. It started knocking but not metallic or like any other knock I have ever heard. The engine also seemed to shake a little more than normal. I backed it out of the roadway and shut it off. I am afraid to drive 200 feet to put it in a shed.It galled me to leave it out. I don't guess this can be diagnosed from my description but I would be thankful for suggestions on where to start. I have a great diesel shop less than a mile from me but they quit working on tractors(big trucks only) I am going to see if one of them will check it out to get me started. Thanks for any suggestions on where to start. Lee

Its possible Randy, I will look in the morning. I hope its something like that cause it sounded like money leaving to me.lol Thanks Lee

If it ends up being an injector, do yourself a favor and replace all 3. I went through this on my moms tractor. Had 1 dead cylinder so I replaced the 1 bad injector. The others failed within a year.
You can buy aftermarket injectors for $30-40 each. I don't know if this site sells them, if not I got mine on that internet auction site.

Make sure you keep your fuel filter changed. I think that's what did hers in. I changed the filter and it was half full of water and half full of silt. Probably hadn't been changed in years.
