1555 clutch

So kind of a long story but my grandparents
had an auction sale a few weeks ago I
aquired his 1555 Oliver with a dual loader
the clutch seems to be done I tried
adjusting it and I feel it's shot has
anyone done one and explain how to change
it I'm pretty mechanicly inclined but would
like to know if there is any quirks or
specialty tools I need to change it or if I
should just grab wrenches and tear stuff
apart until I figure it out

The first think is the long PTO shaft must be removed. Now there were 2 PTO options, the single speed units and the dual speed units. The procedures are different for removing them. If it has a hydra-power drive the engine must be removed as well. Send me an e-mail and include a phone number. J.

I think you should buy the i&t manual. Should be $30 or so. Will have pictures and a step by step description. Like John said, the thing unique to Oliver is pulling the long shaft out first.

Thanks for the help pretty busy and haven't made it to buy a manual that's on the list does the small shaft come out the back is mainly my question I looked at it pretty simple it looks like

Take off the cast cover, take out the three bolts behind the clutch pack then pry the bearing housing out. The whole shaft slides out.

The picture is for a single speed unit. IF your cover does not look like that you have a dual speed unit and the shaft does not come out like that at all!
