156052A 14T coupler

Few weeks back when we ordered the input shaft we also ordered a new coupler and seal. Today when my dad received the package the sprocket isnt the right size. Assume its for the 2-78 or the farm tractors. It fits the splines and even has the correct tooth count. Just smaller in diameter. Cant seem to turn up one of these anywhere. The only one listed on the internet isnt in stock. Starting to think we may need to get a new sprocket for the back of the velvet drive to match this smaller one. Anyone know of a correct sized one avail anywhere? Thanks

This is on your 4-78, correct? I'd call Rick's ag parts or Maibach or Jerry @ Agpartsfirst and talk to them. Your velvet drive is known as the "reverse o torc." Are the splines on the coupler worn and not reusable?

Yes sir that is correct. They are in fact worn and what the issue is here. Its too bad one of the newer version couplers like we received wasnt available in the bigger size that we need. . A lot more spline contact there. My dad was able to find a used part through maibach. Hopefully the internal splines are in great shape and will keep this tractor going for a long time. I appreciate your reply and help.

No problem. Usually you get good stuff from Maibach so I'll be surprised if it's hammered.

art came in a few days ago and aside from being old was in great shape. Thanks again for the help!
