1600 over under how to fix

Can some help it is not working and a an tearing it down and would like to fix at the same time
Any pics. Ina manual and suggestions would

Well is the unit in the frame or on the bench? What does not work on it? There were some up dates one could do to those units that were incorporated into the units when the 50 series tractors were introduced. do you have any idea if any of those have been done> start there.

In the frame yet it's in free wheeling and I have no idea
What's wrong in it is it worth going to all the work to fix?
Is there a place to look in a manual on line?

I'd just buy a manual on eBay or this site, there pretty cheap and then you have it whenever you wanna look at something

It should free wheel in low or do you mean it will not move the tractor in low range with the engine running and the clutch engaged. What does it do when shifted to direct drive? Does the chain coupler turn in either or both ranges? J.

It free weeks in low

It's supposed to free wheel in low. As long as it goes in high and doesn't free wheel, you've got nothing wrong.
