1600 pistons

God it's embarasing to loose your mind, but even more embarasing to break something because of it. It's been a couple of weeks since I took those pistons out of that 1600 gas. The offset dip in the top of the piston goes toward the spark plug, right? I don't want to hammer a valve into the top of one by getting it in the wrong way. Don't laugh. Your memory will go someday too.

Did you remove the rods from the pistons? If not just look at the rods, they should be marked front. Also the pistons should have a marking on them that indicates front. I just got my 1650 engine back together. I put the overbore pistons in. Hopefully I will get a little more power now. Are you putting in new pistons or reusing the old ones?

Yea,the arrow and the word FRONT on the piston and front on the rod were a dead giveaway. It's been a frustrating morning. I blew the hose from the steering servo on the 1550 this morning. Fixing that when the temp was -3 and taking the rest of the morning to do chores has me to where I should take a nap. I swear some day I'm going to have to hire somebody to follow me around and make sure I can find my way home. Thanks anyway. I've got it.

Hey, They told me to cheer up, things could be worse, So, I cheered up, and sure enough, things got worse!!!!!
