165 and 178

I have 2 MF tractors. The 165 has a weak 3 pt hitch. I have not checked the filter yet but would like to know that if I replaced the filter how would you get the wire back on to hold it in place?

My 178 has good 3 pt hitch but my aux hydraulics will not hold an implement up. As soon as I raise my haybine up it drifts down.
Any help with these issues would be great.

My 165D had a screen that I cleaned with solvent and put back in. Also clean out all the debris from the bottom housing real good. I've used a long nose fishing pliers to help wire tie when fingers not getting it done. When you put the pto handle lever back on check proper engagement in gears and neutral. Can verify neutral by hand turning pto shaft end at rear of tractor, of course with engine off.
