I drained a bunch of water from this thing and was going to flush it out and change the filter..Its sad,, the bottom half of the filter is gone..not there. I found what looks like a brass bushing or color in the bottom. along with lots of small pieces. Am I off to the junkyard?

Hello,
If its brass coloured or more correctly phosphor bronze it could be pieces of one of the pump shaft bushes or part of one of the piston yokes.

Thanks David, like I have said before this thing is sad. I may just hook it to the grinder-mixer and call it a power unit.. Thanks again
