When I push the pedal down all the way the 3 pt drops. It doesnt matter if I have anything hooked up or not. Any ideas?

The hydraulic systems in the earlier Massey Ferguson's were, by modern day standards, primitive to a degree.
Not a lot of "positive" sealing arrangements used back then.
The amount of drop you are experiencing, is the question. Does the linkage, drop like a stone? Is it a slow and steady drop, say, 20 seconds from top to bottom?
All early Massey hydraulics experience "drop" to certain degree, problem areas are the piston rings in the lift cylinder, pump exhaust valves, control valve wear and relief valve leaking.
Let us know how fast the linkage drops, both under load, and without,
regards, Evan.

it drops like a rock with anything heavy on it, with nothing at all it drops very slow. That is what i thought was blow by past the lift piston or a exhaust valve.

OK, drain off a little oil from the transmission, then remove the response control side cover. Visually check for any leaks from the lift cover area and/ or the lift cylinder. You may need a small mirror to see the underside of the cylinder.
Also pull the standpipe cover and lift the pipe up wards. You can check the condition of the lower "o" ring while you have the side cover off.
Evan.
