Wondering here. It looks like a decal - edges all the way around. Is it a decal and is it available?
If I can find my spray gun, she's going to get painted.

Both the phone number and e-mail address are good.

Copied phone number.

I really don't know. As many that own Olivers it seems no one knows if pic is a decal. I can't be the only one that's repainted their Oliver.
Same with paint. There's Oliver green of medium, medow and dark. I asked for the green used in 1964 and I got back JD in Rust-Oleum.

I'd for sure find another source for the paint, Medium meadow or dark? Somebody is just throwing things at the wall. You need Oliver Meadow Green. That's all they used from 1951 until the end in 76. As far as the decals, Greg and Lisa might be gone somewhere, they're the editors of Hart Parr Oliver Collector Magazine as well, so give them some time.

It's a decal. Oliver decals should have it. Surprised Greg has not answered. He's usually pretty prompt. Don' know where you are located in Illinois, but Rob Ohda in Normandy , Illinois 815 379-2377 may be able to come up with Meadow Green and Clover White paint. He's a long time Oliver/White guy.

We're coming off the 4th of July and they have kids. They might be off with the family somewhere. Patience.

Thanks for the information. I'll be patient.
I have the Clover White and don't remember where I got it from. The upper and lower dash panels came out great. Not super great, but great. The 60 year old screws for the upper panel didn't want to come out and same for the gauges. Masking off the gauges was a trial.
Used Rust-Oleum rust dissolver to start. A word about the Rust-Oleum. Works good on white, but it leaves white residue - see hood in 2nd pic. Called Rust-Oleum and they said if you leave it on to long it will do this. By instructions, 30 minutes. 30 minutes didn't do it. It took an hour to have the rust go way. BUT, they say you can paint over with no issues (hoping so anyway).

Working the grill now. Got some rough spots that requires steel brushing. Might pull the grill.

Be real careful pulling the grill. those things weigh about 300 pounds. You'll never get it down and back up without another loader or a chain fall. I ruined a new pair of Carhart insulated coveralls with the first one I ever took off. I laid it over in the loader bucket and it got away from me. I tore the whole leg right out of them.

It's looking good so far.

That loader is a monster, actually I think it's too big for the tractor. Tractor is supposed to weigh a little less than 8,000 pounds and scales 10,460 pounds. How much the oversize tires weigh is beyond me. Rears are 18.4 by 34 and the fronts 7.50 15 inch.
The loader goes almost straight up. My sister has a engine puller. Engine puller in my trailer, should be high enough. I can have the tractor right up against the trailer. Engine puller should hold the grill in the air while I take off any rust spots I didn't catch and paint it.

I don't why I don't just slop some paint on it and say good enough. Have to pull the screen, the long side panels the 4 side panels and then hood.

I just didn't want you underestimating how heavy that grill is and roll it over on yourself. I couldn't imagine that something with that many holes in it could be so heavy. I was lucky that I only ripped my coveralls and didn't break a leg.

Some years ago I removed the grill on my 1850 to make it easier to take the radiator off. I drove the tractor up to the workbench in my shop. The bench top was within an inch or two of the grill base. I walked the grill onto the bench, and back onto the tractor when I was done. I didn't want to fool around trying to lift that thing. I've gotten too old for that.

Can't do that. Loader stuff is above the bottom of the grill. Ain't no way for pulling the loader. That loader is monstrous. Tractor weight 7,815 pounds. With end loader, 10,460 pounds.

Too old? How old? I'm 75, supposed to have some sort of heart condition (12 pills per day) and bad back. Hotter than sin today and I'm driving fence posts.
