1650 head on 88

how do i do the coolant plumbing? this head has the 4 bolt housing, how do i block the lower water port on the housing???

I put a 1600 head on a 880 and had to block two water ports in back of the head with small soft plugs and sealer.Also need longer push rods.

I assume you are talking a gas head.Yes you can put it on a 88 block I made a new thermostat housing and used a washer to control the coolant flow.like EJR said u need to plug the 2 holes that dont line up with the block,I cant remember about the p-rods

what pushrods would i need?

In my case I used a set of 560d IH push rods and shortened them to the lengh I needed.
