is there a way to id an 170 gas block ? i purchase a pulling tractor and thats whats suposed to be in it but i dont know how to id them

Engine serial number is behind the carburetor air inlet hose. A D-17 gas engine s/n is 17-xxxx-M. A real One-Seventy engine s/n will read 7-xxxx-Z. The only real difference between a newer D-17 engine and a One-Seventy engine is the compression ratio, carburetor and governor. Other than that it is identical.
