Been having trouble with the clutch sticking for a couple years. Posted a question on here and was told to block the clutch down when parked.
Well that worked for a while then I noticed rusty water seeping out of the starter. And the starter would hang up in the fly wheel sometimes.
The throw out bearing started making terrible noise and then I parked it with out blocking the clutch and now its stuck solid.
Hauled it to a buddys garage and broke it open tonight after work. Found the bell housing 1/3rd full of water. Looks to me like the teeny drain hole became plugged and the 3/8 hole in the top of the bell housing under the dash mount bracket channeled the water in and no outlet.
Clutch plate frozen to clutch face and throw out bearing looks like it came from a sunken ship.
This tractor only sat out during hay season. Take warning!!! besure the drain hole is open on your 100 or 115 series tractors or your in for problems. Why they seal them up so tight then leave a hole in the top is beyound me. I think I'll plug the top hole and drill out the bottom one to at least 1/2 inch.
