I am looking for the brake rod for a 175 with the cast iron axle. Part # is 1861677M91. The dealer wants $200 for it and its on a 5 week backorder in the UK... not going to do that. I can't find that part anywhere else though- has anyone had any luck finding one of these? Part #13

My first thought is to use the rod from the malleable axle- it is readily available and looks similar, but not the same. Part number for that one is 184334M1. Has anyone tried this? My concern is it will be too light duty. I am open to suggestions, or if someone has a parts tractor maybe?

The attached first link is the part AGCO Part No. 1861677M91 from a US supplier. It isn't any cheaper than your dealer and probably more when you include shipping. But they say they will ship out side the US. Unfortunately they do not give a description..

The second link is for the #184334M1 and as you say is a lot cheaper, but it does give the part dimensions . Measure your other side brake rod and compare it to their spec's. To see if it is compatible.

The only other suggestion I have is the fabricate a new one from scratch. Bend the clevis on the end from say a 1 1/4 " wide , by 1/4" thick bar stock , drill the end hole to fit the size rod you need and weld it both inside and out . For the rod I would get a leaf spring shackle and use one side for the rod.
