I added a loader to my 1750 Cockshutt tractor. Loader is plumbed into the remote with a divider to allow use of equipment. What weight of oil should I use for the loader?

Hi rrlund:

This would be a AW46 weight hydraulic oil?
I guess. I don't know numbers and letters, I just use the one that says medium hydraulic on it. I don't think it matters much except for how hot or cold the weather is. Any way it shakes out, most anything you buy now is better oil then they made when the tractor was new.

Just a thought, but you can plumb a loader valve into your power beyond port on your 1750 which makes it a bit handier. Lots of info on this site on how to do it. I have done on a couple tractors and its relatively easy. no idea why, but on my 2-70, loader works noticeably faster plumbed into power beyond than off the remotes???

Full flow and not going through the balls in the couplers would be my guess.
