1755 Loader Tractor

Just bought a 1755 with Hiniker cab and Westendorf loader. Assumed it was big enough to use as a chore tractor for haying and such this winter. Now I'm kind of doubting whether this tractor should move big round bales with the loader. Are 11L-15 tires heavy enough? Is the wide front axle strong enough? Should I add ballast? I'm used to the father in laws JD 5500 and Case 95U, but I'm needing my own tractor over at my little piece of dirt.

1755 should be plenty heavy enough built, same basic chassis as the 1955. Try to keep speeds down if using the loader to move large bales, there is a large leverage factor with that bale that far out in front of the axle.

I use a 1600 for 4x5s. Works fine. I did put a front axle out of a White 2-105 under it, but that 1755 might already have the
heavier spindles like the 105 had. The original on mine was set way out for wide rows and I couldn't get it loose to move it in.
The hydraulics on the 1755 should be far superior to the ones on the 1600.
