The metal bench is my welding bench.

Made from scrap metal I had.
Only thing with 3 wheels is the JawHorse.
My floors are level so no need for 3
wheels on a

any other thing.
I like wheels. I can locate things in one
place, move them where I can use them.
Especially move welders, cutting torch,
grinder, table saw , miter saw near

Garage door to keep sawdust and sparks
outside. Every thing has a place in pole
barn.

Big things like metal brake, air
compressor, and lathe aren't on wheels.

I gave my boy my 14 inch Delta bandsaw. He's getting more use out of it than I did. He thinks it's a great saw.

I love having a portable workbench bench. And

I put wheels on a pallet to move forks for Kubota around. Pallet was previously overlaid with shingles.

This is the handy cutting metal. 120 x 1 inch blade. Does a clean cut.
I moved it from my old garage with the terramite.

Thanks, it took me a lifetime to collect all these tools. Been giving some tools to my boy after he started making axe handles.
Now he's thinking about making wood outdoors furniture.

I might have made the top of your welding table. If it was me, it was on the midnight shift and between 1979 and 1987.

Your top looks a little like stair treads. The plates on each end we called carrier plates.

I used materials I had, yes stair treads. It works for me. Many times I have used the JawHorse to hold metal to make a tack weld.

I have covered stair treads with plywood and use as a workbench .George

I think grating makes a nice place to weld. No need to sweep slag.

Your pieces look like 19W4, that is bearing bar at 19/16's spacing and cross-rods at 4 inch spacing. We also made 15W2 where more strength was needed.

Useless factoid: A 3 foot wide by 24 foot long panel would shrink in length one quarter of an inch after cooling from being welded together.

Sorry for the ramble, probably more than you were interested in.
