180 MF planetary unit leak

I have a leak at the drain plug on the planetary unit. I tried to tighten it but it seems the treads must be striped because it just continues to turn in.I haven't try to take the plug out untilI see what you all think I should do. Also what oil do put back in it after I get it fixed? And what do you do with used oil legally?
