1800 power steering

on a 1800 the power steering it is hard to turn at idle and full throttle but the second you lift of use a hydro remote the steering works like a dream is there a check valve or some thing that will make this happen we have also put a new hydro pump in this tractor

Yep thats a flow divider problem.On the old models its the valve in the front of the hydrolic unit between your legs.The spool inside is likely stuck or broken spring.On later units its by your left heel.

   Pull the valve out and check the spring.  Now chuck the valve in your drill press, use a brown paper bag with some oil on it and if you are a smoker or someone else that is around put the ashes on the oiled bag and polish the lands while turning the valve in the drill.
