Need some Case friend advise. Have a tired 1835C that the original TMD20 needs a complete overhaul, and parts are very expensive from sources I've checked so far. Also have on hand the same engine that came from a welder that was parted out. This engine starts and runs well, and spent it's life running 1800 RPM, has just over 3000 hours. Thinking of repairing the 1835C injection pump and installing it as that's the main difference between the engines, besides manifolds. Question is, would it be smart to replace the head gasket now while the engine is out? I don't have any experience on this engine model. Loader won't get used much, maybe 150 hours a year max. Curious if there was any head gasket problems I'm not aware of. Thanks in advance..
