1841 Loader Hyd Leaks

The 2 spool control unit on my 19-131 front end loader leaks badly. I could not find a look-alike match on the Ford NH parts site. It has 2 levers, and 6 hoses connecting at the bottom. The tractor is an 1841 HD Industrial, made in 1958. Anyone know of any part numbers? Thanks much.

I don't have any part numbers for you, but if you remove the spool assembly and take to a local hydraulic shop, they should probably be able to come up with the parts to repair the leaks.

Go to external_link and then to the new holland parts area. enter 1841 for the equipment number.

On the left side a drop down area will appear. Click on hydraulic system and then the remote control valve. that will show the control valve parts blowup.

You probably have an o-ring issue. The messick site will show the size. You can buy 70 durometer locally, online or from messicks (or your local dealer)

Just be careful taking it apart as there are lots of small parts and some are under spring pressure.

That's a single handle remote valve that mounts where the stock 3x5 cover plate goes. He's asking about the 2 handle control valve that mounts up on the loader frame itself.

That looks like a good site, but could not find any front end loader info, just the remote control valve, which is not on my tractor.
Here are a couple of pictures, one a close up of the item. The drops of yellow liquid are fluid, not rain.

Tony,
If it turns out you need the loader control valve(try replacing all o-rings first.),I have it plus many other parts for your tractor. Most of them are even the same color.
Nice tractor do you have the backhoe too?If you can post more pics!

John-Bud, thanks for the tip. I had to do a web search to see what "70 Durometer" means, and came across another load of new information. Found some info here: http://www.marcorubber.com/materialguide.htm

Also, on this Forum archives was a tip about the similarity between 4040/4140 and 1841. The FNH Part Diagram site shows a 05G03 loader control which looks like the right item. It is listed under the 4140 4 cyl Ag HD Industrial tractor. Which also shows the solid front end on this 1841 tractor. Posting the info to sum up this search for anyone else"s benefit. Thanks everyone.

OK, here are some picts. I tried to keep the size down. So far I replaced the dry rotted tires, front timing cover, governor seal, front timing cover seal, a few hyd hoses, overhauled the carb, de-rusted and sealed the gas tank, tune-up, etc. It was a restoration project, now it is a simple keep it running project.

FYO-- Tractor supension was meant to carry some of the load whe using backhoe.Do Not lift front or back off the ground when digging. Can cause stress cracks in frame, loader lift ram and other places.A lot of people get a bucket of material and set it on the ground and put just enough down-pressure with your out-riggers so as not to dragg yourself into your hole

Hello, I have one of these industrial backhoes, mine has a diesel, works well but has a loud noise in reverse that comes from the transmission area. Any idea what it might be? I have a parts tractor that may contain whats damaged, thanks.
