185 serial number

I have an Allis 185 I'm trying to determine the year of. I found the serial number near the clutch housing which reads 185 then a deep mark that is possibly the number one which is followed by 4735. I'm not sure if that deeper mark is the number one or simply an indentation left during the manufacturing process. The mark in question is not quite in line with the other numbers and not as faint.
I'm not sure if the serial number is 14735 or 4735. Can I use a casting code to verify one way or the other? Thanks!

1973 would be a Crop Hustler model I think. It would also have the shallow oil pan. 1980 would not be a Crop Hustler and have the deep oil pan on the front half.

It appears to have a shallow oil pan, I believe it has the original paint on it but no Crop Hustler
decals. I'm thinking it's likely a 1973. Thanks for the information DrAllis.
