1850 oil pan

Hello all
I have an 1850 deisel I bought a couple of years ago. I have not put many hours on it but it"s time to change the oil. I have a 5/8 square head on the oil pan plug that is recessed into the oil pan. I cannot get a wrench on it. It looks like it takes a special tool or socket to turn it out. Any such tool or socket? Thanks kwg

I tried a 5/8 and 11/16 and could not get it on. I agree with the welding on some kind of an extension but I don"t have a welder at the farm. If it"s a pipe plug I wonder if a plumbing shop would have a 5/8 square socket of some kind? kwg

I live 50 miles from the farm. I don't own a welder. I do have a generator but I would have to load it on a pickup and take it down and then get a welder to spot weld it. I will try some different sockets the next time I am at the farm. I will look for some cheap skinny walled sockets and give it a try. kwg
