1929 Ford Model A pickup

A friend just bgt. a 1929 Ford Model A Roadster pickup. It is a dark green with black fenders. What were the original colors available for a truck such as this? It has no rear bumper. He wants to keep it as close to original as possible. Would a rear bumper have been an option? It also has a radio on the steering column that has the FORD script on the face, with the main radio mounted up under the dash. Would this have been an option, or would this have been a much later addition? Thanks

Radios were quite large and had vacuum tubes, not transistors, look for vacuum tubes.

im thinking dark green with black fenders was a model A color, ive seen a restored coupe that way, and given the condition of the car, i dont think the owner would have opted for a non factory paint scheme,[ one of those cars you have dreams about, way beyond nice] you might look up some forums on model A"s and ask to be sure, the T"s were much easier, any color you wanted, as long as it was black

This chart only goes back to 1935 but shows green could be had, look the color chips over and see if they match what you have.

In 1929 there were two different greens offered, at least on sedans. The fenders would always be black on a Model A. In 1929 the wheels would be black. Should be pretty easy to find a color chart showing what colors were available if you wanted to match the original. The pinstripe on the dark green should be kind of a wheatstraw color, if I recall correctly. I can"t help with the radio, might try the Model A Ford Collectors club. Try a Google search for "model A collectors".
