I am looking at a F30 for that is for sale near me.

He is asking 5500 OBO. I think its a little high. Says it was professionally painted two years ago and added and electric start.
Am I correct on the pricing?

Thanks

not too professional of a paint job with the painted magneto. The electric start is a nice add on and I like old tractors on steel wheels but a lot don't. If it's what you want you would be hard pressed to find another that nice, but according to market values it is a little high priced.

My understanding is they started the 1937 Model painted red in November of 1936.
That looks like a 1936 model to me.
However, I may be wrong. If so, I am sure others will know for sure.

So I am assuming Nov 1936 is a 1937 Model? With out having SN I can not confirm the year.

By the looks of the steering gears over the radiator , I think it's a 1935, check the serial#. I have a 33 F-30 Duckbill that I don't know a lot about the history of the tractor. But it was repainted years ago and it's red. Did a real good job because I can't find a bit of gray on it anywhere Talking to a few old-timers I was told a lot of times these tractors were traded in, for a new "M" or something, and dealership would redo them and paint them red? Just what I heard. I'd like to get back it to its original gray, one day.

What are the Casting Dates? It could be a 1937 model with some left over 1936 parts - IHC never threw away any parts, even if they were from a another year's model.

I have not physically seen it, so I don't have the SN or any casting dates.
I like it but it does seem high priced

Those fenders use to sell for big bucks, so that adds some value, but the starter looks homemade to me. He may have $5500 in it,
but its not worth that. It would sell for about 3 grand with the fenders here.

fenders sure look like repops to me

any starter on a 30 will be home made since nothing was available factory or aftermarket like Heisler did for the Regular/F20
