9n runs for about 10 to 15 min. and put load on it stalls. will not start again. no spark at plugs but have power to top of coil, coil does have a small crack in top got tape over it. rechecked point gap .015. any help would be greatly app. Thanks Mark

sounds likes your coil has an 'open'(short).when it gets warm,awire seperates and causes voltage failure.it is not fixable.replace the coil.

Won"t be your last cracked square can coil if you don"t replace that bad ignition switch! Or you just left it on for a few seconds! Not saying that is the case, but I bought 3 coils ($30 ea)BECAUSE OF A BAD $5 ,as Dell says weak sister switch!! I have since started removing the positive cable when I shut her down! Rusty

I have just replaced the ignition switch, i was wondering if maybe the condenser could also be bad?

I always have my cable disconnected from the battery. I have a sears trickle charger on it to keep my battery ready to go.
