1944 John Deere B

How much would a 1944 John Deere B weigh? Thinking about picking up one for our son. That will eventually be his first tractor/pulling tractor. I have a round tube wide-front on my G will this bolt on the B as we use it around our property for now? I know a lot of questions. Thanks in advance.

Probobly around 3500 depending on wheel equipment etc. I would leave the wide front on the G, they are heavy for pulling. Look for a loose driveing disc on crank that era B its quite common. Good luck!

The Driven Disc Inside the Clutch..

The Splines can get loose and Wear both the splines in the driven clutch disc AND the splines on the Crankshaft...
CHECK this out before you Buy..

Very Fast 1st Gear could be a problem, too..

My 1941 B weighs just a touch over 4000, but it has rear wheel cast centers and electric start. I will agree that 1st gear is too fast for pulling as I have tried it a couple of times in true stock classes.
