1947 cub

I am changing from 6 volt to 12 volt.do I have to do anything with the mag.this is a 1947 cub ser, 5468. thanks for any help.

If you have a mag it doesn't require battery voltage as it create's it's own voltage. Hal

El Toro is very correct. The kill switch and wire to the mag should be left as is. Never put power to a mag.

the wire from the mag to the switch, does that just complete a ground to kill the engine where it only has one wire.

That is correct. The mag has a set of points in it that are shorted to ground through the switch body. Thus making no spark! Jim
