1949 Grill

have a 1949 8n 209472 that has a grey painted grill with the upright tubes painted red.
Unable to get anything from archives
Didn't the 1949 come out with the grill all gray???

I have a 41 9N with the grille painted the same way. The wheel centers are also red. Some people just have creative minds.
