Does the steering box take GL-1 90 just like the transmission? Also does anyone know where I can get the sleeve and bearing for the steering arm that comes out of the side of the steering box that connects to the steering set-up? thanks

The steering gear originally came with GL-1 oil same as transmission, however many are using corn head grease as it is much thicker and less likely to seep past the seals. I like the idea of using corn head grease along with some of the GL-1 oil as this should not leave a gap where the grease alone could. On the top left of this page under Marketplace click on "Tractor Parts" then follow through I am sure you will find your sleeves or bushings for the steering box.

Mix your 90w and NGLI rated "00" Corn Head grease together in a zip lock bag, cut the corner and squeeze it in.

Thanks Guys, for the info, I am going to have to replace the steering box arm shims and seals as they are worn, looks like i will have to pull the dash panel and everything to work on the steering box, going to be alot of fun
