1951 8N Lift

I cannot raise my 3pt lift with my Touch Control lever. I have to push the Position/Draft lever all the way down and hold it to lift. The touch control lever will let the lift down but won't pick it up. What problem might I have, what should I check or adjust. I'm new to tractors and need advice.

At the very least, you need to adjust the position of the quadrant, and perhaps replace the cam follower pin.

Do a search in the archives over at the "N" Board for "N" GURU Zane Sherman's lift troubleshooting and adjustment instructions.

Also, pick up a copy of the I&T shop manual, FO-4 for these tractors. The manual is available from this very site, as well as MANY other sources.
