Need to remove hood from tractor. Have removed 4 bolts from dash area and 2 from front down on the side and fuel line. What else needs to be taken loose do not want to damage hood. Thanks.

Have drained the tank radiator cap is off grill removed. Been on there for 67 years wants to stay. Thanks for your help.

If you have lights disconnect them. Get someone else to give to a hand. One on each side straggle the tires and lift.

Do you have the essential manuals? They are every bit as important as any wrench.
This is my procedure for HOOD REMOVAL: Engine cold. I advise first to disconnect the battery cables and pull battery aside. Next, drain the gas tank, remove the rad cap, and remove the grille, not just pivoted down, works better out of the way, you?ll see. Remove the intake air screen and connection from the hood. Removal of entire air cleaner is highly recommended. Next, shut off the fuel valve (should be off already) and disconnect the fuel line to the carb. Remove the four dome-headed cap screws which secure the hood to the dash instrument panel. Remove the cap screws that secure the dog legs to the front axle support. The dog legs and gas tank are secured to the hood so you can remove those if desired; it?s your call but I advise to so you can manipulate the hood better when these are removed. The radiator does not fasten to the hood so no need to drain it. Best to use a buddy or helper to pull hood off and when reinstalling. Now is the time to remove the gas tank and get boiled/cleaned, vent cap cleared, and tank inside coated with POR-15 or equivalent.

Forgot to add per Kirk's reply - yes, headlights need to be removed and the OEM lighting wire runs downetgh LH side of gas tank with clips, This go off too. Wire is clipped around the radiator shroud the feeds to the RH headlight. Best to just remove the whole wire with the lights before dogleg removal.
