I just purchased this 1953 John Deere 50 (serial number 5005947) it has a single front wheel and a three point. I am wondering which model of three point hitch is on my tractor, any information would be appreciated.

Hello JD60S.. welcome to YT! Model??
If you are talking about Category 1 vs Cat. 2 the Cat. 1 uses 3/4” pins on the implement and Cat. 2 uses 1 1/8”. My guess would be that a 50 would have a Cat. 1 three point. Someone else will have to tell you what the purpose of that upper link with the double anchor point is for.

The upper link on these three point hitches, (50, 60, and 70) were a little odd, as they had a cross bar. So not a true cat 2, but lower pins were
1 1/8 diameter.

It is the 800A. The left hand lift link is incorrect, it should be a match to what is on the right side. Appears that someone used an extra upper link rod.
