1953 Jubilee

Purchased a 1953 Jubilee that had been sitting for about 6 years.
Got it running after changing the gas tank and a quick tune up, new battery, etc.
Changed the oil/oil filter and hydraulic fluid. Replaced the o-ring on the hyd. pump outlet in an attempt to fix a leak. still leaks.
When I first got the tractor started the 3 point hitch raised up to the high position. Since then I dropped the hitch to the lower position and have not been able to activate the 3 pint hitch to the raised position. I think it has the original hyd. pump installed.
Before I invest in a new hyd. pump are there any suggestions that I should try first.

Verify pump flow at the test port. If you have flow move on to the control circuit which is a frequent cause of lift issues.

Thanks for the info.
o, bleeding and flow at test port are not the same thing. Next, the test port needs to be defined. There is more than one possible test port. One will tell you something about the pump. The other will fool you into thinking the pump is at fault, when in reality the problem may be in the valving. The one to use to verify the pump is on the side of the hydraulic cavity down at the right foot board. The one on top of the hyd cover near front of seat will only show flow IF both pump and valving are both in working order. If you have the piston vs vane pump, then you can use the plug at front of piston pump instead of on side of hyd cavity.

As JMOR says pressure test port is a pipe plug on the lower right side of hydraulic cavity and I believe that port is discussed in the hydraulic pressure test section of the shop manual. It is just a tee into the pressure delivery circuit positioned after the over pressure relief valve and ahead of the control valve. It's a simple way to verify the pump is producing flow which is the first thing you need to verify. I would also suggest you connect a hose to the test port and run it into the hydraulic filler. I suspect the pump IS working and that hose will avoid making an oily mess when you start the tractor....
