1954 Super H

I m starting the process of restoring a 54 Super H. It has an M carb on it. It needs to be rebuilt. I want to get back to a carb that at least looks correct and works. I have a donor carb with a357231 R91 tag. What tractor does that belong on?
Previous owner rebuilt engine with 300 pistons.

well putting on a M carb was a waste of time, the venturi in the intake manifold is only so big, that's the limiting factor, unless he had the bored and polished !

Not sure if there the same but I have a carb off an H that I would sell. In theory it should be a bolt it on and go since it was rebuilt but it has been in my car truck ever since.

Your A357231 R91 donor carb is correct for a Super H.

As a practical matter, unless you look at the part number a Super M carb is visually indistinguishable from SH carb (differences are internal jetting, venturi diameter, etc).

However the correct SH carburetor will likely provide better idle/low speed performance - and no loss of power at full load - vs an SM carb.

Thank you!
I knew it ,357231R91,was not correct for SH/300 etc as the venturi is bigger than the one on my 53 SH. It ,53 SH, has a 361525R91 carb on it off of a early 300.

Where is the list of carb #?s vs model they belong to list?

I have several carbs that all look the same but different #?s.

Don't know if there is a list. Over the years I tried to place a lot of carburetors to original use. Still some I don't know. Would guess if thin wall sleeves and 3-9/16 pistons was used in the SH they wanted to move up to the carburetor a original 3-9/16 SH had.
