my oliver 1955 pto starts and runs until I put under load. Also seem to be getting hydraulic oil in the transmission. What causes this and what is the solution?
 
PTO clutch seals leaking.There ain't no quik fix.
You will have to take the PTO unit off the rearend and rebuild it or have it rebuild.
Procedure is in the manual
