1957 Work Master Side Panel Mounting Holes

So I didn't record the correct mounting holes for the side panels when I took the tractor apart many years ago. Anyway, began final assembly with the bottom dog leg mounting hole fitted to the bottom hole in the radiator support. Steering box sheet metal cover fitted to the lower mounting holes. Everything good so far until I began to install the hood hinges. Forward hinge will not sweep correctly as it hits the top radiator tank. So....I'm thinking the top mounting holes, front and back, were the correct ones. I removed both side panels, moved the steering box cover to the top mounting holes and then fitted the right-side panel using the top hole in the radiator support. This will allow clearance for the hood hinges to fully swing but now, the throttle shaft will not reach its bracket. I know these tractors were built with different configurations but I'm missing something. If I space the bottom throttle shaft bracket, I think it will work but I don't remember there being a spacer under the bracket and I don't see one in the parts manual. I've attached pics of how the right-side panel looks mounted in the upper holes. Also shown is the throttle shaft bracket. I did replace the radiator, but the replacement is identical to the original. Thanks for any advice/help with this! I was hoping to get the graphics applied today but it isn't looking promising. Last two pics of the mounting holes I'm speaking about.

The Workmaster series (601) used the lower mounting holes and the Powermaster series (801) used the upper mounting holes. A spacer under the throttle lever bracket would not help you use the upper mounting holes as the hole for the steering column is in a different location between the 601 and 801 series so each series has their own dash panel. The column hole is near the back of the dash panel on the 801 due to the angled steering shaft, so raising your 601 dash panel would move the whole dash panel back as well.

Are the hood panel hinges the same? Have you tried swapping them front to back? I'll have to look at my 641 tonight, I didn't think the hinges came anywhere near the radiator.

Yeah....do I feel stupid. Always thought the hood hinges were the same. Obviously the front one will be shallower and of course I had them flipped. I hope this helps someone else out in the future. I did find another post from another guy restoring his grandfather's 601. Thanks to everyone who helps me out with this project! This forum is the best!
