Pop bought a 620 decent shape fuel tank full of crud, need a gas tank, can't find any locally at salvage yards in central mo, any help would be great thanks Dusty

Do as David G said and clean the tank. I use a motor cycle gas tank cleaner and sealing kit from TP tools here in Ohio or any good
auto parts store should have one. TP tools caters to the restoration market. Now if you indeed have holes then you need a new
tank. I have used Dengler vintage tractor parts in Middletown, Ohio for replacement tanks but don't know if they are still in
business but I have not heard otherwise.

Here's how I cleaned mine. I put in a double handful of 7/16" nuts to loosen up the crud.

I first used power washer fluid in it, maybe a three gallon or so mix. I'd let the old mixer run for an hour, then flush the tank and add another dose. After a few hours of that I switched to a heavy dose of Dawn dish soap. It got a final flush of water to get all of the soap out. Six hours total mixer time. It was clean enough to solder with an oxy torch when I was done. I'm the nervous type when it comes to flames and fuel tanks, so I probably overdid the caution, but I'm still here to write about it.

I needed one last Spring and couldn't find one,,so I flushed it real good, then put a hat full of clean gravel in it,,jacked one side a 4020 up and ratchet strapped it to the wheel and let it turn for a bit,,it looked a little funky ,but did a fair to good job.

Try "Classic Gas Tank" in Illinois. Repairs and seals them for a very reasonable price. He did my H's 2 tanks for less than $150.
