1958 Allis D17 power steering weak

Hello all, new to the forum here, I need some help with my d17, the power steering pump seems to be getting pretty weak as my wheel is getting hard to turn. is there a repair or do i have to replace the entire pump assembly Thanks in advance
PS: my pump is the type that is integrated in the distributor/governor

I checked it at the filler hole in front of the radiator, it seemed to be full, I checked it while it was running and the oil in it didn't seem to be flowing very much, I don't know if that means anything

OK. At least you know where to check the oil because some don't. If it is moving oil, it will be faster at wide open throttle and slower at an idle. Very hard to say what your problem actually is. The pump could be shot. If it is weak, I might expect it to work better when you first start the tractor and the oil is cold and then get weaker the warmer the oil gets ?? It could also be the control valve under the generator area, which signals the hydraulic portion of the power steering system. Finally it could be the steering ram which might steer good to the right and very hard to the left. Might take some diagnosis from an experienced tech. Are the front tires airred up to 35 psi of air pressure ?? That makes them steer way easier than if they have 20 psi in them.

Man do i feel dumb, I checked the tire pressure like you suggested, and sure enough the gauge read 12psi, i filled them to 35 and the steering was back to how it was, I suppose i should check the tire pressure more than once every couple of years. Thank you for the help

***I've never seen any tire GAIN air. They always slowly but surely lose air.
