Hey case what was the extra step? I did replace all the orings. Some of the base cups to the controls didn't even have gaskets. Hopefully this thing won't leak as bad now at the controls.

As long as the spools went back in without cutting part of the new oring off do not worry about the extra step,, I have had them be worn so sharp it slices a piece off and you have leaks again soon if not right off,, i found I can chuck the spool up in a drill and use emery cloth to polish the sharp edge just enough it will not cut the oring when you install them in the bore again,,
